Which highlights does your city offer throughout the Telemann year 2017?
„The composer as a chronicler. Telemann’s occasional music as a musical diary.” is the focus of a scientific conference at the Frankfurt Telemann Society held together with the Institute of Musicology at the Goethe University in Frankfurt from October 5^th to 7^th 2017. In addition, there will be several excellent studded concerts all through Telemann year 2017, including an event with musician of the University, a concert by the ensemble of the University of Music and Performing Arts on October 6^th, a gala concert on the occasion of the 25^th anniversary of the Frankfurt Telemann Society under the direction of Michael Schneider, held in the „Forum of Ancient Music” (Forum Alte Musik) on October, 22^nd, a chamber concert on January, 8^th in the Frankfurt Opera as well as more concerts performed in St. Nikolai Church, in the Protestant Church Friedrichsdorf-Seulberg as well as the concert titled „Barock+” with the hr Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Jan Willem de Vried which takes place two times on June 15^th and 16^th 2017.
