At which special places and in which special spaces will the events take place?
The scientific conference will be held in ‘Holzhausenschlösschen’ of the Frankfurt Civic Trust. The baroque moated castle was built in 1729 by the Frankfurt patrician family Holzhausen and used as a representative summer residence. Following the recent, very extensive refurbishment the Holzhausenschlösschen was reopened in September 2014 and since then provides a unique venue for concerts and other events.
The Imperial Hall in the Römer was initially used as a meeting hall by the Frankfurt Council. It presents the only fully preserved gallery of all the emperors and kings of the Holy Roman German Empire and is the jewel of the Frankfurt Römer. The hall is used in many important receptions, medal assignments and social events. It is excellently suitable as a concert hall and as such it is regularly used by the Forum Alte Musik. 2017 it will be the venue for the Telemann year gala concert.
