Telemann in Hamburg

At which special places and in which special areas will the events take place?
Hamburg’s five main churches were Telemann’s main work place, they are important places for the maintenance of his oeuvre still today. The concert hall for Old Music in Hamburg is the Laeisz Hall which was opened and designed in a neo-baroque style in 1908. The Great Hall is appreciated for its excellent acoustics by artists and the audience too; the concerts of the NDR series „Das Alte Werk” are being held here. Centre of the Chamber Music Care is the Small Hall of the Laeisz Hall. An idea of the old Hamburg conveys the Lichtwark Hall in the historic composer’s district.
The ones who prefer modernness, the new resonance space in St. Pauli which is equipped with rotating baffles or the Bucerius Art Forum on the Town Hall Market Square where visual arts and music meet, will be worth a visit.
