Telemann in Leipzig

Irrespective of Telemann, what should visitors not miss when visiting Leipzig?
In 2010 the Bach Museum Leipzig was re-opened after extensive reconstruction and developed into an international visitor magnet within a few months.
Johann Sebastian Bach's life and work is presented in a contemporary ambience by means of a scientifically founded interactive and sound permanent exhibition as well as thematically changing cabinet exhibitions. The heart of the museum is the air-conditioned treasury, where precious original documents from the Bach Archive are displayed. Opposite the Bach Museum Leipzig is the St. Thomas’ Church where Bach worked for 27 years until his death. On Fridays at 6 p.m. and Saturdays at 3 p.m., the renowned St. Thomas’ choir presents the works of the famous Thomaskantor as part of a motet.
